The house is located 2 blocks away from the marsh and situated close to a park featuring a baseball field. There are many nearby attractions worth visiting during your stay. - Pigeon Point Park is an easy 1 mile walk away. You can enjoy sublime sunsets over the marsh from one of two swinging benches or a launch a boat at the provided ramp. - Visit the National Cemetery, a short walk away. It is one of six national cemeteries established in 1863 for the reinterment of Union soldiers and sailors who died in the region during the Civil War. - The closest beach is The Sands, located in Port Royal. It is a 13-mile round bike ride, and you can traverse most of it on the scenic Spanish moss trail. If you’d prefer to drive, it’s about 15 minutes to The Sands. - Downtown Beaufort, located 1.5 miles away, features many fantastic bars and restaurants. The owners’ favorites are Hearth, Q on Bay, and Old Bull Tavern. You can also pick up some fantastic cider in a variety of flavors at Lowcountry Cider Co. If you’re feeling up for a walk or bike ride, it’s very easy to meander to downtown Beaufort from the house. - Port Royal, located about 5 miles away, is also an absolute must to visit. In addition to The Sands, you can check out the local farmers market (hosted every Saturday) and observe the wildlife at the Cypress Wetlands.

Guest Access

Guests have full access to entire home and all of the exciting entertainment features in the backyard. The only area unaccessible to guests is the locked shed, which is located on the left side of the backyard near the gate.

The 2 bedroom 3 bed/1 bath home is nearly 700 square feet and located on giant lot. Pets are allowed upon review. The space has been thoughtfully decorated and updated with guests in mind. The rooms are bright and colorful with a well-designed outdoor entertainment space. While enjoying the backyard, you may spot two barnyard owls who have taken up residence in the pine and oak trees. If you’re a birder, you’ll enjoy sitting in the living room and spotting the many local birds who enjoy visiting our front yard, including Northern cardinals, American goldfinches, and blue jays. Both the fire pit and grill use propane. We do not provide propane, but have a tank attached to each. We will provide reimbursement for up to 2 propane tanks maximum per stay upon proof of receipt. Make sure to turn on propane tanks before use and off when done.

Other Details to Note

A heavy duty rollaway bed with mattress topper for added comfort is provided for the third bed. It can be found stored in the closet. Both the fire pit and grill use propane. We do not provide propane, but have a tank attached to each. We will provide reimbursement for up to 2 propane tanks maximum per stay upon proof of receipt. Make sure to turn on propane tanks before use and off when done. Guests staying 30 days or more are required to sign a simple lease agreement. Both bedrooms have closets with velvet hangers and hanging organizers. The kitchen includes many appliances and cooking tools, such as coffeemaker, blender, ice machine, mixing bowls, and baking sheets. We do not provide any food items, such as oil and butter. We also do not provide any food storage, such as tupperware, Ziploc bags, and aluminum foil. The kitchen sink does not have a garbage disposal, so all food waste must be tossed away in the trash can, conveniently located under the sink. Remote for backyard fan is locked in TV cabinet. Code for TV cabinet shared prior to check-in.
